About the Author

Rosalie began writing short fiction and plays in high school. She often wrote fiction rather than the required essay. The result was that she had to learn to write expository theses with footnotes et al in college to complete her Bachelor, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees, but she knew that she enjoyed writing fiction. She had her first short story published in 1995 in a collection edited by renowned author, Rudolfo Anaya. Her stories have been inspired by New Mexico, her home state. They often include bilingual or Spanglish (a mixture of Spanish and English) phrases. The characters in her books experience a blend of cultural traditions, language elements, and customs. This book is a departure. She decided to write a Romance book partially because of her personal experience and that of close friends her age.
